About

Jay is currently studying a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Economics at Macquarie University.

Throughout school, Jay had a strong involvement in both public speaking and debating. Jay started public speaking in year 1 finding it very enjoyable and continuing throughout all of primary school. In year 9, Jay picked up debating and was picked for the Combined High Schools (CHS) Representative team in year 11. He then continued his passion for debating into university having represented Macquarie at the Australian National Debating Championships.

This passion for debating and helping future generations enjoy presenting led Jay to start coaching the year 7s at his school during year 12. Additionally, Jay was on the Student Representative Council demonstrating his commitment to lead and helping others which he now applies in his classrooms.

Jay is an asset to the SSA team, creating a welcoming and supportive classroom environment!
