Speaking Schools Australasia is focused on empowering students by providing a safe space to learn the skills to be the great speakers of tomorrow.
Our firm belief is learning through doing is the best way for kids to develop. We use practical activities to teach and have a big focus on feedback and growth.
We run a mix of school holiday workshops, term programs, online classes and much more!
You don't have to be a champion public speaker or debater, but we are looking for people who have:
- The ability to create a safe, fun, and supportive learning environment
- Experience and enthusiasm for teaching children and young people
- Experience in debating and/or public speaking (including high school public speaking or debating competitions)

I really enjoy working with Speaking Schools Australasia. I’ve found that the environment is amazing. Everyone is really kind and I’ve made friends for life as well. You’ll learn so much from the other coaches who have way more experience than you and it makes you a better coach.
I love working with SSA. It’s a really positive program. It’s really kid-focused, making sure the kids have a great time and making sure we can celebrate debating as much as they learn things about the world and how to debate.
Working at SSA is an awesome experience. Even though I’m new, I’ve already gained a lot of new skills I feel. Just being able to speak in front of a class of kids. It’s very different to speaking to people of your own age. I think it's definitely a different experience and one that really opens your mind and broadens your horizons.
