Rising Voices Public Speaking Championship

We at SSA believe that it's important to not only provide students with the tools they need to become engaging speakers, but the opportunities to show off those talents as well.

Given this, we launched the inaugural Rising Voices Public Speaking Championship in Term #3, 2023. This hybrid online and in-person championship allowed students of all ages to practice their skills in a welcoming yet competitive environment.

Our Rising Voices competition follows successful competitions that Speaking Schools has run over the years, such as the SSA Cup in 2022 and the Sydney Speaking Competition in 2021.

Interschool Debating Competitions

Speaking Schools has been involved at every level of interschool competitions, whether it acting as organisers or simply providing adjudicators.

With our Management Team having been involved as Chief Adjudicators at the highest level of some of Australia's premier interschool debating tournaments (such as Eastside, CAS and FED), not to mention the Australian, Australasian and World University Championships, we are perfectly placed to help organise and run competitions at any level.

One-off Adjudication Services

In addition to full adjudication services, we also provide one-off online adjudicators for everything from interhouse debates to premier debating competitions where schools are required to provide judges.

Our adjudicators are amongst the best one offer in Australia, and are trained in delivering considered, reasonable and thorough decisions for students of all ages.

If you've got an upcoming debate and require a high quality adjudicator to give your students the best possible feedback, please reach out and we'll put you in touch with someone from our judge pool!

Please note that current rates for one-off adjudicators is $90 + GST per debate.

Competition Training

In addition to running competitions, we also help train students to compete in them!

This can take the form of everything from one-off sessions to taking over the coaching of entire debating or public speaking programs within your child's school.

We have been working with SSA since 2017, running the annual YouDebate competition between AUF schools.

They have been organising all the logistics for the competition, and as a result, the organisation of the competition turned out to be a breeze.
