Breanna Craig
Senior Coach City: Sydney, Australia Course List:Breanna is a bubbly coach, as well as an accomplished debater and public speaker. She attended Elderslie High School, where she was Vice-Captain, and was actively involved in student life. Breanna has been involved in debating and public speaking for 6 years, and represented her school in the Premier's Debating Challenge, where her debating team reached the state semi finals and state quarter finals in 2018 and 2019 respectively. For her achievements Breanna was awarded the Steven Estler Award for Debating in 2019. Apart from being an accomplished debater, Breanna also flourished as a public speaker, reaching state finals of the Plain English Speaking Award in 2020, finals of the South West Sydney Public Speaking Award in 2018 and regional finals of the Legacy Public Speaking Award in 2018. She also represented her school in Mock Trial in 2018 and 2019. Whilst at school she initiated the Macarthur Interschools Charity Shield, was a member of the MacArthur Interschools Captaincy Team and worked as a Peer Mentor and Mediator, as well as playing a key role in implementing a school-wide waste disposal plan. Her dedication to the community is evident through her work for Variety Children’s Charity and the Department of Education’s ‘Secretary for a Day’ program.
Breanna is currently studying a Bachelor of Communications, majoring in Media Arts and Production at the University of Technology Sydney. Breanna has become a very active and passionate member of the UTS Debating Society, and currently serves as President of the society. Success wasn't far behind, with Breanna representing the UTS at the Australian Championships and making the finals of the ANU Winter Tournament and UNSW Pro-Am tournaments in 2022. She also hosts and co-produces a web show for arts and social science students, called ‘On the Ground’.
Breanna fosters a sense of teamwork in her students, and works hard to pass on her own love of public speaking and debating.
