About

Swetha is a passionate coach committed to helping students develop their confidence and oratory skills in an engaging and empowering space. She began debating and public speaking in Year 7 at Loreto Normanhurst and continued her craft to Year 12, participating in competitions such as the Catholic Schools Debating Association Debating and Archdale Debating, Rostrum Voice of Youth, UN Voice, Evatt, Plain English Speaking Competitions, CSDA Public Speaking and Festival of Speech. Alongside being heavily involved in the public speaking and debating competition space at school, she was also the Kendall House Academic Activities Leader where she acted as a leader and mentor, assisting younger Loreto girls in developing their self-confidence and oratory skills. Furthermore, in 2018 and 2019, she was selected as the Youth Member of Parliament for Castle Hill at the YMCA NSW Youth Parliament program, where she was a member of the Inclusion and Diversity and Civics & Youth Participation committees.

Swetha is currently studying for a Bachelor's of Physiotherapy at Western Sydney University. She also continues to work extensively as a debating coach and adjudicator. Alongside teaching with us, Swetha works as a debating coach at Loreto Normanhurst and James Ruse Agricultural Highschool and has also adjudicated for debating competitions, including Archdale and the Catholic Schools Debating Association (CSDA). Through her extensive debating and public speaking coaching experience, Swetha understands the significance of developing strong oratory skills when students are young and believes that any student can be a solid public speaker and debater through good guidance. This perspective and her long public speaking and debating experience as both a competitor, coach and adjudicator make her a valued member of our team.
