About

Scarlett is a thoughtful and knowledgeable coach, who has a deep understanding and interest in debating. Since Year 7 Scarlett represented her school, St Andrew's Cathedral School, in the ISDA and CSDA debating competitions. Notably her team reached the CSDA state finals for 4 consecutive years from 2015 to 2018 - an impressive achievement! Whilst at school she showed her dedication to the art of public speaking through obtaining a Speech and Drama diploma from the Associate of Trinity College London. Scarlett also placed runner up in the Australasian Philosothon, which is a competition where students explore philosophical and ethical issues.

After graduating high school, Scarlett began a Bachelor of Laws and Arts, majoring in American Studies at the University of Sydney. She currently coaches the Year 7 debating team at her alma mater, passing on her knowledge to the next generation. As one of the first in the generation of coaches who were once students of Speaking Schools (Scarlett attended one of our debating programs in high school), Scarlett brings a unique understanding of debating and public speaking from both sides, and this insight enables her to teach students in a targeted and highly supportive manner.
