Mayela is a vibrant and communicative coach with a passion for social issues, culture and diversity, ethics and interacting with people and the community. Having participated in public speaking and debating competitions since primary school, her confidence and expansive skill set makes her a knowledgeable coach who creates a fun and focused experience for her students.
She is currently undertaking a double bachelor’s degree in Communication (Writing and Publishing) and International Studies at the University of Technology Sydney and is a Youth Activist with Plan International. Mayela participated in the Youth Activist Series 12-month leadership development program for young people who are passionate about campaigning for gender justice and equality where she had to present to various stakeholders and acted as a representative for Plan at events. Her campaign 'A Better Normal' presented findings to a United Nations General Assembly event in 2020 and she was involved in research on impacts of COVID-19 on girls whilst contributing to report writing.
Her ability to problem solve and adapt keeps her classes fun and enjoyable for every type of student, allowing them to find their voice in a comfortable environment!
