Johie Lee

Johie is currently studying a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Sydney. She has been involved in public speaking since primary school before shifting into debating in high school and is now keen to share her knowledge with SSA.

Johie has experience in working as a children service volunteer where she worked with young children in reading books and playing games. She learnt from this that the best way to work with children is through creating a welcoming environment and being patient making her classes very enjoyable for younger students.

During high school, Johie was selected to represent her school in the area debating competition and was selected as class representative for consecutive years. Johie knows what it is like to have to stand up in front of crowds which allows her to empathise with nervous students.

Johie brings a calm and welcoming nature into her teaching which makes her a favourite among young speakers.
