About

Emma is an enthusiastic, confident and well-spoken individual who is passionate about teaching public speaking and debating.

She has been debating for a number of years and is currently in her second term as the President of the University of Wollongong Debating Society where she leads an outstanding group of motivated individuals to improve their debating skills and have loads of fun whilst doing so. Emma has competed in the Australasian Intervarsity Debating Championships in Bali and Melbourne, the Australian Intervarsity Championships and the Australasian Women's Intervarsity Debating Championships in Otago.

Emma is studying a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts (majoring in International Relations) at the University of Wollongong. In addition, Emma studied abroad at Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico, which exemplifies her passion for understanding the world around her. Her willingness to travel and experience different cultures is a testament to her openness and explorative nature.

Emma also has excellent written and spoken English skills. She has shared her expertise through her previous role as Senior Editor for the University of Wollongong Journal of International Affairs.

Emma’s patient and positive attitude foster a very supportive learning environment where her students feel heard and confident enough to share their own ideas.
