About

Adrian McManus is an engaging, dynamic, and caring coach who prioritises getting to know his students so that he can help them develop their own personal style and flair as they reach their full potential and become effective communicators, while having immense fun on their journey.

Adrian is currently studying a Bachelor of Arts majoring in History and International Relations at the University of Sydney. He graduated high school from Trinity Grammar School, where he participated in mock trial and debating. As a debater, he made the representative teams in years 10-12.

Adrian has adjudicated with the Archdale Competition, and coaches Debating and Public Speaking for CAS, GPS, FED, ISDA, Archdale and IPSHA competitions at multiple prestigious schools across Sydney. Additionally, he also facilitates seminars which focus on teaching Year 12 HSC Legal Studies content.

He also has experience working with children through the Australian Army Cadets, in which he rose to be the inaugural Senior Cadet Under Officer of a brigade of 7,500 cadets across New South Wales (being appointed the week before his HSC exams in 2020 no less!). He has also worked with Scouts Australia and the Starlight Children’s Foundation where he developed his love of mentoring children of all ages.

Adrian has a diverse range of interests, including volunteering on the Zig Zag Railway in the Blue Mountains, singing in a choir, and travelling extensively. Testament to his pride in his Scottish heritage, he also plays the bagpipes with the NSW Police, all of this meaning he brings a wealth of different life experiences into the classroom.

Adrian has a passion for public speaking and particularly for coaching young people to become better communicators which empowers them to be the best citizens they can be.
