About

Luke is an engaging coach with a passion for debating and public speaking. Attending St Aloysius College, Luke participated in competitive debating from year 7 to 12, participating in both the Independent Schools Debating Association (ISDA) and the Combined Associated Schools (CAS) Competitions, winning the latter in his final year of school. Impressively, Luke’s team also won the Australian Jesuit Schools Debating Carnival in 2019. He represented his school in the senior firsts in ISDA Competition in 2019 and 2020. An accomplished debater, Luke was selected to be part of the CAS representative debating team in 2019, and was team captain of the squad in 2020, a very prestigious achievement. In recognition of his achievements, Luke was appointed Debating Captain in his final year of school. He was also a Peer Support Leader, and was in charge of overseeing programs for year 7 students.

Moving to the University of Sydney to study a Bachelor of Arts and Law Luke has remained involved in debating, most recently adjudicating for the university at the Australian Intervarsity Debating Championships. He was also awarded 14th best novice speaker at Macquarie University ProAm Championships. Alongside working with us, Luke also coaches debating at Waverly College and adjudicates for the Eastside and Archdale Debating Competitions. At Speaking Schools we recognise Luke for his talent in debating and public speaking, as well as his infectious enthusiasm.
