Alastair is currently studying a Masters of Security and Strategic Studies at Macquarie University. He has previously been awarded several qualifications including a Diploma in Government at UNE Partnerships, a Bachelor of Science (Biochemistry and Neuroscience) and Graduate Diploma in Science (Opthalmology) both at the University of Sydney.

Alastair has experience in improvisation and stand-up comedy which allows him to create a fun classroom environment that all students enjoy. Alastair's favourite part about debating and public speaking is providing critically formed arguments convincing audiences to change their minds and make better decisions.

Alastair is committed to sharing this enjoyment when he teaches students. Alastair has been involved in community service as a Volunteer at The Children's Hospital Westmead and as a Surf Lifesaver directly supervising Nippers. His passion and seriousness for public speaking, presentation skills, and community involvement, make him a dedicated coach. With his expertise and commitment to empowering others, Alastair is poised to make a positive impact on the lives of his students, helping them develop the confidence and skills they need to succeed.

Alastair has deployed public speaking skills in both the public sector and in consulting and will ensure the students' education will be also be informed with examples of professional and academic application.
