Course Overview

Set over two days, our Tigers course uses interactive and fun activities to both deepen students understanding of how to best present in front of a class and develop their confidence speaking to audiences. It reinforces and builds on the skills taught in our Tabby Cat program with the view to giving students further opportunities to develop good speaking habits.

As with all our programs, class sizes are kept small to ensure that students are provided with a supportive environment where they are able to obtain individualised feedback from one of our experienced coaches.

Experience Levels

We recommend that students have some experience before doing our Tigers program, although this is not necessary.

It is designed for students with some experience of presenting in front of audiences, whether that be participating in our Tabby Cats course, or having learned some presentation skills at school.

If your child doesn’t have much experience, we would recommend they undertake our Tabby Cats course.  However, if the dates/locations don’t work, or you’re not sure what would be best for your child, please get in touch and we’d be more than happy to discuss which course is most appropriate for your child!

Main Objectives

Over the course, students will have the opportunity to:

  • participate in a wide range of activities (masquerading as games) which help develop key presentation skills such as voice projection and eye contact;
  • emulate real life situations in a welcoming environment, and practice speaking in front of an encouraging group of students going through the same experience; and
  • reinforce the key aspects of speaking in public, ensuring they’re better prepared for the later years of primary school.

Should I repeat the Tigers holiday program?

The Tigers holiday program is designed so it can be completed again and again.

The content of our Tigers course changes from holiday to holiday to ensure that no two courses are the same. Our experienced coaches tailor the material to the individual circumstances of the students who enrol in any given holiday, and make sure that everyone gets the most out of the program.

As such, students will gain some new insights and skills every time they undertake this course!

What term program is best after Presentation Skills Tigers?

If your child has already had a go at our Tigers holiday course, we would still recommend that they do our Term Tabby Cats program – the course content is very different to our holiday program, and students are bound to get plenty out of the course!
