Speaking Camp – Kangaroos (Ages 7 – 9)

Course Overview

This two-day course is designed as the natural extension of our Koalas course, and provides students who are looking to apply their speaking skills in a variety of novel situations with the perfect interactive, activity-based workshop to allow them to develop further.

As with all our programs, class sizes are kept small to ensure that students are provided with a supportive environment where they are able to obtain individualised feedback from one of our experienced coaches.

Experience Levels

Our Kangaroos course is a continuers program.

It is designed for students with some experience of presenting in front of audiences, whether that be participating in our Koalas course, or having formally been taught public speaking at school.

If your child doesn’t have much experience, we would recommend they undertake our Koalas course. If in doubt, please get in touch and we’d be more than happy to discuss which course is most appropriate for your child!

Main Objectives

Over the course of the two days, this program provides:

• a variety of fun activities that expand students’ speaking skills, and help them build the confidence to give a good presentation;
• exposure to novel situations where students may be required to present, and the tools to tackle these new speaking opportunities; and
• plenty of opportunities to receive and apply feedback, with the view of improving a little with every speech they give.

Should I repeat the Kangaroos program?

The Kangaroos program is designed so it can be completed again and again.

The content of our Kangaroos course changes from holiday to holiday to ensure that no two courses are the same. Our experienced coaches tailor the material to the individual circumstances of the students who enrol in any given holiday, and make sure that everyone gets the most out of the program.

As such, students will gain some new insights and skills every time they undertake this course!
