About Ruth

Ruth is a law graduate currently pursuing her Master’s in Public Policy and Management at the University of Melbourne. She’s a member and adjudicator at the Debaters Association of Victoria (DAV) and has been coaching debate and public speaking in Hong Kong for over three years.

Ruth has coached teams for competitions such as the World Schools Debating Championship, International Debating Championship (IDC), International Parliamentary Debate Competition (IPDC), and the World Scholar’s Cup, among many others.

Having competed in moot courts and Model UNs herself, Ruth believes debating is not just about winning rounds, it’s about thinking critically, speaking confidently, and having fun while doing it!
