Rebecca is a dedicated and accomplished debater who is able to impart her passion and enthusiasm to her students. Attending Camberwell Girls Grammar School, she was involved in debating and public speaking from a young age, representing her school in competitions such as the DAV Schools Competition. Rebecca’s was awarded the prestigious Swannie Award for Best Speaker from Debating Association Victoria in 2014, and had her debating achievements recognised through her election as House and School Debating Captain respectively.

Rebecca completed a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Politics and International Studies, and Philosophy at the University of Melbourne, as well a Masters of International Business, and is currently undertaking her Juris Doctor at Monash University. Whilst at university Rebecca has played a crucial role in the Melbourne University Debating Society having held numerous positions, culminating in President in 2020. She found remarkable success on the competitive debating circuit, representing her university at the World University Debating Championship, the Australian Intravarsiety Debating Championship and the Australasian Womens Debating Championship as both a debater and adjudicator. Rebecca holds many debating accolades including being a top 3 speaker award at Chairman’s Cup, and Semi-finalist at the Victoria Cup.

Not only is Rebecca a skilled debater, she also has extensive experience teaching debating, coaching at Melbourne Business School, Melbourne Grammar School, Camberwell Girls Grammar School and notably Melbourne High School, where she led her team to the Grand Final of the Debaters Association Victoria’s Championships in 2019. She has also worked presenting motivational seminars on study skills to high school students. Rebecca brings a wealth of experience to the team at Speaking Schools Australasia, and is passionate about imparting her knowledge so that a new generation of students can love debating and public speaking as much as she does.
