Chris has always had a love for public speaking and debating. Starting his journey in Year 4, Chris represented his school every year in the Premier's Debating Challenge, and ended up winning the Epping Rotary Club Debating Competition in Year 12, having been runner up in Year 11. His success wasn't just limited to debating - he was also an avid public speaker, having won his school's internal competition every year from Year 8 to Year 12, and going on to win the Lions Youth of the Year Public Speaking Compeitition in Year 12.

That said, Chris's public speaking and debating has always competed with his other great love in life - his commitment to his local Scouts Group. Since 2017, he has volunteered as a member - initially starting out as a cub himself at primary school, he has since progressed as a Youth Helper and now a leader of my own Cub Pack. He has led teams in various competitions, including second place at the State Rally. Chris truly is an asset to the SSA team.
